I have opened a new Facebook Page for Scrabbled Rambles, after deleting the old one.
I’d been annoyed and worried for a while because my old Page kept getting Likes from users who clearly have nothing to do with a page or blog of my sort, and I could not block and remove all of them.
I was close to deleting it and forgetting FB forever (I don’t use the page that much, besides for automatic posting and resharing of old posts). But then I thought I could give it one more try, just for the sake of having a presence on this platform as well. I’d rather have one or two real followers than hundreds of fake ones. So…
>>Come and follow Scrabbled Rambles on Facebook!<<
I can’t promise to be more active on there, although I have some things in mind that I could do to increase my presence there. If only I can get some genuine likes, it would be much easier! If you have any tips about this, I would appreciate it. 🙂
Meanwhile, you can follow me on Twitter (again, I don’t write much, but I often retweet), where I changed my username to @scrabblerambler. Same change happened on other social media. Find the links to my profiles on the top bar, at the bottom of the page or on the side menu.
You’re welcome to promote your social media, just leave me a comment!
It’s that time again, unfortunately.
Scrabbled Rambles is going on a temporary hiatus, until I finish all my examinations. That means that I will not even post the usual Weekender’s posts. I will be back some time after 21st June.
In the meantime, I am publishing one last post, also as a way to encourage myself for the coming summer break. My biggest fear is to be idle and lose the momentum I have gained by enrolling in university. So I plan to remain active. Check out how, after the jump!

Welcome to the new home of Scrabbled Rambles!
This was the major update I was hinting at in my last couple of posts.
Actually I was planning to launch it last Monday, 4th April, which happened to be the blog’s first birthday (I can’t believe it’s been that long already). However, partly because of my return to lectures, partly because of my studies and… mostly… because I am a time optimist, I did not manage to do so. Transferring the posts from Blogger wasn’t as smooth, as I had thought as I had to go through every single post again. That was what really held me back, I guess.
So, it was slightly disappointing not to launch the new page on that special day, but now I am happy and relieved to be finally settled.
Have you stumbled on Scrabbled Rambles just now? Then, welcome and go ahead, take a look around. I invite you to check the About page, where you will also find some particular posts as an example.
I would love to have feedback, suggestions or warnings of any broken links or stylistic defects (I am still tweaking). Either reply to this post, go to the Contact page or email me directly.
See you around! 🙂
The time has come… can you feel the tension in the air?
Just kidding! It’s time to take that previously mentioned short break from blogging and this is the official announcement: Scrabbled Rambles will remain silent until the end of January. That is, until I finish writing all my assignments and exams.
But I’ll be back soon after that, I promise! And here is a teaser of what I plan to post from February onwards:
- the advantages and disadvantages of owning an e-book reader
- my own tips on how to start personal blogging
- a very particular travel post
- more movie and tv show reviews
- more Weekender’s Reads – hopefully with a collection of articles from the past month
In the meantime, check out my latest posts:
See you soon!
